(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 17, 2013 ) Sydney, Australia -- Award winning photographers "Welsch Photography" bring some new lighting and prop techniques to their existing style of photographing newborn babies. The best time to photograph babies has always been before they are 12 days old, preferably on days 7, 8 or 9. This is due to the baby being unaware of it's surroundings and much easier to settle into a cute pose for the photographs. Welsch Photography have been developing a new style of lighting the sessions to ensure the baby is not startled by bright lights or flash. Using a combination of natural sunlight and professional photography studio lighting they have achieved a unique look to the photos, while maintaining complete comfort and safety of the baby.
"Photographing newborns is a real skill & requires a lot of patience. Often you may only photograph the baby for half & hour, but it may take mum an hour to feed their baby etc", say Owner & Photographer Rebecca.
"When my clients come in 3 weeks after I have photographed their newborns, there is always a few tears when they first the photos. Babies change so much in just 4 weeks & it is at the point that my clients really appreciate how precious it was to capture photograph their babies as newborns".
Welsch Photography started photographing newborns 4 years ago after the birth of their first child, Stella. "It wasn't until I had my first baby that I could really understand newborns & appreciate how to best photograph them".
Welsch Photography's new technique of constant studio lighting & ambient lighting ensure that the newborn isn't disturbed by flashes.
